Working Heritage is pleased to announce that Jack’s Magazine is the successful recipient of Round 6 of the Living Heritage Program. The grant of $163,000 has been generously provided by the Victorian Government and will be used to carry out a wide range of conservation works across five of the buildings at the property.
The works will include repairs to timber shutters and windows, replacing and repairing gutters and downpipes; refixing slate roof tiles, works to improve water drainage, repairs to bargeboards and a number of other conservation measures.
Onsite works will occur from October 2021 to February 2022 and will be conducted by heritage specialists McCorkell Constructions.
These measures are designed to protect the important industrial significance of the site and help facilitate future public enjoyment of the property.
